Stahlhelm M16 con “iron cross” camo

Eccezionale elmetto modello 1916 dell’esercito imperiale tedesco (Stahlhelm M16) con mimetismo esterno “mimicry” a vari colori separati da linee nere, una caratteristica tipica dei mimetici tedeschi della Prima guerra mondiale, resa poi ufficiale dalla direttiva Ludendorff del 1918. L’elmetto venne ulteriormente personalizzato dal soldato con una croce di ferro dipinta sul davanti, una rara forma di “trench art” che rende l’elmetto ancora più affascinante. L’elmo ha la punzonatura interna “ET64” (produttore: Eisenhuttenwerke Tahle; taglia: 64). Gli aeratori sono stati completamente otturati, un escamotage spesso utilizzato dai soldati tedeschi per proteggersi dal vento freddo. Completo di interno e soggolo, elmetto in ottimo stato di conservazione.

The helmet has the internal punching “ET64” (manufacturer: Eisenhuttenwerke Tahle; size: 64). The air vents were completely clogged, a ploy often used by German soldiers to protect themselves from the cold wind. Complete with liner and chinstrap, helmet in good condition.
