Ricamo tedesco Rivolta dei Boxer (1901)

Bello e interessante ricamo commemorativo realizzato per un marinaio tedesco che aveva partecipato alle operazioni in Cina nel 1900/1901. Il ricamo/ricordo raffigura al centro lo stemma della Marina Imperiale Tedesca sormontato dal motto “Gott mit Uns”; al lato le bandiere di tutti gli altri paesi che avevano partecipato alle operazioni per soffocare la Rivolta dei Boxer. Si tratta sicuramente di un prodotto coevo alla guerra di manifattura locale cinese. Accolto in cornice non pertinente, misure circa 68 x 57 cm.

Beautiful and interesting commemorative embroidery done for a German sailor who had participated in operations in China in 1900/1901. The embroidery/memento depicts the coat of arms of the German Imperial Navy in the center surmounted by the motto “Gott mit Uns”; to the side the flags of all the other countries that had participated in the operations to stifle the Boxer Rebellion. It is certainly a product coeval with the war of local Chinese manufacture. Received in a non-pertinent frame, measures approximately 68 x 57 cm.
