Interessante quadretto commemorativo, molto in voga nella Germania di inizio ‘900, realizzato come dono/ricordo per i soldati che andavano in congedo al termine del loro servizio militare (Erinnerung an meine dienstzeit). In questo caso il quadro era destinato ad un soldato bavarese, come si evince dal pickelhaube con piume rosse e dalla bandiera bianco-azzurra. Misure circa 51 x 42 cm.
Interesting commemorative picture, very popular in early 1900s Germany, made as a gift/souvenir for soldiers who were going on leave at the end of their military service (Erinnerung an meine dienstzeit). In this case the embroidery was intended for a Bavarian soldier, as can be seen from the pickelhaube with red crest and the white-blue flag. Measures approximately 51 x 42cm.
