mazza da Tamburo Maggiore REI (1860)

Rarissima mazza mod. 1860 da Tamburo Maggiore del nascente Regio Esercito Italiano. La mazza era nello specifico pertinente al Tamburo Maggiore del 55° Reggimento Fanteria – Brigata Marche. La mazza, lunga circa 120 cm, reca i marchi di produzione della ditta “Sambruna” di Milano e l’intestazione reggimentale incisa sulla sfera. Il pezzo, vista la sua importanza, è stato pubblicato a pag. 562 nel prestigioso volume “Il Primo Esercito Italiano. 1861-1870” di S. Ales e A. Viotti, edito nel 2020 per lo Stato Maggiore dell’Esercito.

Very rare mace mod. 1860 as Drum Major of the nascent Royal Italian Army. The mace was specifically relevant to the Major Drum of the 55th Infantry Regiment – Marche Brigade. The mace, about 120 cm long, bears the production marks of the “Sambruna” company of Milan and the regimental header engraved on the ball. The piece, given its importance, was published on page. 562 in the prestigious volume “The First Italian Army. 1861-1870” by S. Ales and A. Viotti, published in 2020 for the Army General Staff.
