Giacca da truppa 1899 Cavalleggeri di Caserta

Bellissima giubba di inizio ‘900 da sottufficiale del 17° Reggimento Cavalleggeri (Caserta) del Regio Esercito Italiano. La giubba, definita mod. 1899/1903, è quella indossata dalla truppa di cavalleria italiana negli anni a cavallo tra l’età umbertina e i primi anni del ‘900: i gradi a fiore e le filettature colorate sono già state aboliti ma la foggia generale è ancora ottocentesca e sono ancora presenti i fregi metallici sulle spalline. La giacca ha i fregi e i colori reggimentali specifici (panno scarlatto su velluto nero) dei Cavalleggeri di Caserta, i gradi in tessuto argentato presenti sopra le manopole sono da Sergente. Presenti i normali segni del tempo, ma considerandone l’antichità la giubba è ancora in ottime condizioni.

A very nice early 1900s tunic for a non-commissioned officer of the 17th Light Cavalry Regiment (Caserta) of the Royal Italian Army. The tunic, known as the 1899/1903 model, is the type worn by Italian cavalry troops in the years bridging the late Umbertine era and the early 1900s: the floral-shaped rank insignia and colored piping had already been abolished, but the overall style was still nineteenth-century, and the metal insignia on the shoulder straps were still in use. The jacket features the specific insignia and regimental colors (scarlet cloth on black velvet) of the Cavalleggeri di Caserta, and the silver cloth rank insignia above the cuffs indicate the rank of Sergeant. It shows normal signs of age, but considering its antiquity the tunic is still in excellent condition.
