Bella ed interessante foto originale d’epoca realizzata per commemorare la caduta in servizio di un sottufficiale delle waffen-SS (SS-Unterscharführer). Sotto la fotografia, dalla quale si nota chiaramente l’uniforme tropicale “sahariana” SS, è riportata la scritta in gotico “Sein Leben gab er hin für’s Vaterland” (= Ha dato la vita per la patria) e le date di nascita e morte del militare. La foto è accolta in una cornice moderna non pertinente e misura complessivamente 52x42cm circa.

Nice and interesting original photograph created to commemorate the death in service of a Waffen-SS non-commissioned officer (SS-Unterscharführer). Below the photograph — in which the distinctive SS tropical ‘Sahariana’ uniform is clearly visible — appears the Gothic inscription ‘Sein Leben gab er hin für’s Vaterland’ (= He gave his life for the Fatherland), along with the soldier’s birth and death dates. The photo is housed in a modern, non-original frame, with total dimensions of approximately 52×42 cm.
