Elmetto M17 Austriaco (AW64)

Straordinario elmetto modello 1917 (Stahlhelm M17) dell’esercito austro-ungarico (K.u.k.) durante la Prima guerra mondiale. L’elmetto ha una colorazione color senape tipica degli elmetti austriaci della grande guerra ed è completo dell’interno e del soggolo originali. All’interno c’è la punzonatura AW64 che indica una produzione della ditta A. Westen di Cilli (Slovenia) e la taglia 64, numero che è anche riportato sul cerchione interno. Su uno dei lembi dell’interno si intravede una scritta, probabilmente con i dati del soldato. Complessivamente l’elmetto è in ottimo stato di conservazione ma è presente solo 1 delle 3 imbottiture dell’interno.

Extraordinary helmet model 1917 (Stahlhelm M17) of the Austro-Hungarian Army (K.u.k.) during the First World War. The helmet has a mustard colouring typical of the Austrian helmets of the Great War and is complete with the original liner and wimple. On the inside there is the hallmark AW64 indicating a production by the company A. Westen of Cilli (Slovenia) and the size 64, a number which is also marked on the inner rim. On one of the flaps of the inside there is an inscription, probably with the soldier’s data. Overall, the helmet is in very good condition but only 1 of the 3 pads on the liner is present.
