elmetto Kriegsmarine M40 (ET66)

Elmetto modello 1940 (Stahlhelm M40) della marina militare tedesca durante la seconda guerra mondiale. L’elmetto porta sul fianco sinistro una decal con aquila completamente dorata, simbolo della Kriegsmarine. L’elmo è marcato all’interno ET66 (fabbricante: Eisenhuettenwerke Thale; taglia: 66). Da notare che questa fabbrica fu la principale fornitrice della Kriegsmarine. Nella falda interna era originariamente presente il nome del proprietario ma è stato coperto con un secondo strato di vernice, l’interno in cuoio è marcato con il numero di taglia 58. Bell’esemplare di M40 SD in buone condizioni e appartenuto a un soldato della Kriegsmarine.

The helmet is marked ET66 on the inside (manufacturer: Eisenhuettenwerke Thale; size: 66). It should be noted that this factory was the main supplier to the Kriegsmarine. The inside flap originally bore the owner’s name but has been covered with a second layer of paint, the leather interior is marked with the size number 58. Fine example of an M40 SD in good condition and belonged to a Kriegsmarine soldier.
