elmetto Berndorfer con Stirnpanzer (WWI)

Straordinario elmetto “Berndorfer” dell’esercito austro-ungarico (K.u.k.) durante la Prima guerra mondiale completo della rarissima placca frontale di rinforzo “Stirnpanzer”. Questo tipo di elmetto, prodotto esclusivamente dalla ditta Berndorfer Metalwarenfabrik A. Krupp AG di Berndorf, è stato l’unico elmetto concepito in autonomia dall’Austria e non copiato dai modelli tedeschi, il che lo rende uno degli elmetti più rari e ricercati tra quelli della Grande Guerra. All’interno l’elmo presenta la caratteristica punzonatura con il logo dell’orso e il numero di taglia 66, il soggolo è originale e l’interno in pelle conserva ancora le tre imbottiture. La corazzetta frontale, anch’essa in perfette condizioni, reca nella parte interna un numero “3”, forse interpretabile con il numero dell’unità che ottenne questa fornitura. Elmetto di estrema rarità e importanza collezionistica.

This type of helmet, produced exclusively by the company Berndorfer Metalwarenfabrik A. Krupp AG in Berndorf, was the only helmet designed independently by Austria and not copied from German models, making it one of the rarest and most sought-after helmets from the Great War. On the inside, the helmet has the characteristic stamping with the bear logo and the size number 66, the wimple is original and the leather liner still has the three paddings. The front plate, also in perfect condition, bears a number “3” on the inside, perhaps interpretable with the number of the unit that obtained this supply. A helmet of extreme rarity and collector’s importance.
