Diploma medaglia “Repubblica Romana” 1849/1870

Interessante e raro attestato di conferimento della “medaglia ai benemeriti della Liberazione di Roma 1849-1870”, istituita dal Regno d’Italia dopo la presa di Roma e conferita a coloro che avevano partecipato alla difesa della città nel 1849 o successivamente alla sua conquista nel 1870. Il nostro diploma, redatto e firmato a mano, è datato 1871 ma è indirizzato ad un Sergente che nel 1849 aveva combattuto nella Repubblica Romana. Documento accolto in cornice in legno, misure circa 28x35cm.

Interesting and rare certificate awarding the “Medal for the Meritorious of the Liberation of Rome 1849–1870,” instituted by the Regno d’Italia after the Capture of Rome and granted to those who had taken part in the defense of the city in 1849 or later in its conquest in 1870. Our diploma, handwritten and signed, is dated 1871 but is addressed to a Sergeant who, in 1849, had fought in the Repubblica Romana. Document housed in a wooden frame, measuring approximately 28 × 35 cm.
