Rarissima cover ricamata da tamburo “Kesselpaukenbehang” della Wehrmacht, appartenuta in particolare all’8° Reggimento Artiglieria (Artillerie-Regiment 8). Questo speciale ornamento veniva posto come una gonna attorno al tamburo delle bande musicali a cavallo durante le marce e le parate. La cover è quella di modello regolamentare M1937: 5 pannelli con sfondo in colore waffenfarbe pertinente (nel caso dell’artiglieria il rosso), al centro le cifre del reggimento e ai lati croci di ferro e aquile Heer alternate, fodera posteriore in panno feldgrau. Le Misure sono circa 155×35 cm. Condizioni buone, con normali segni del tempo, pezzo molto evocativo e di estrema rarità.

A very rare Wehrmacht embroidered “Kesselpaukenbehang” kettle drum cover, which belonged in particular to the 8th Artillery Regiment (Artillerie-Regiment 8). This special ornament was placed like a skirt around the drum of mounted musical bands during marches and parades. The cover is the regulation model M1937: 5 panels with a background in the relevant waffenfarbe color (red in the case of artillery), the regimental numbers in the center and alternating iron crosses and Heer eagles on the sides, back lining in feldgrau cloth. The measurements are approximately 155×35 cm. In good condition, with normal signs of aging, very evocative and extremely rare piece.
