Berretto rosso Garibaldino 1860

Spettacolare berretto da truppa in dotazione ai volontari Garibaldini durante le spedizioni del 1860-67. Berretto di tipica foggia risorgimentale, con visiera piatta e forma schiacciata, realizzato nei colori identificanti le truppe di Giuseppe Garibaldi, il rosso e il verde. Pezzo con diverse tarmature e segni del tempo, ma considerandone l’antichità e l’estrema rarità è ancora definibile in buone condizioni. Probabilmente il più iconico ed evocativo copricapo del Risorgimento italiano.

Spectacular enlisted visor cap issued to Garibaldian volunteers during the expeditions of 1860–1867. The cap has the typical Risorgimento style, with a flat visor and a flattened shape, and is made in the red and green colors that identified the troops of Giuseppe Garibaldi. The piece shows several moth holes and signs of age, but considering its antiquity and extreme rarity, it can still be considered in good overall condition. Probably the most iconic and evocative headgear of the Italian Risorgimento.
