Armatura ed elmo da Corazziere francese 1828-1829

Straordinario set da Cuirassier dell’esercito francese composto da corazza epoca Carlo X e pertinente elmo databile a metà ‘800. La corazza, completa di cinta e cinghie, reca all’interno le punzonature della “Manufacture Royale de Klingenthal” con l’anno di produzione (1829 la piastra frontale, 1828 quella posteriore), la taglia (2° taille et 2° largeur) e il numero di matricola (5002). Considerandone l’antichità, l’armatura e l’elmo si mostrano ancora in ottime condizioni, lotto estremamente evocativo della cavalleria pesante francese tra la Restaurazione Borbonica ed il 2° Impero.

Extraordinary Cuirassier set from the French army consisting of Charles X period armor and relevant helmet dating back to the mid-19th century. The armour, complete with belt and straps, bears the hallmarks of the “Manufacture Royale de Klingenthal” inside with the year of production (1829 the front plate, 1828 the rear one), the size (2nd taille et 2nd largeur) and the serial number (5002). Considering its antiquity, the armor and helmet are still in good condition, an extremely evocative lot of the French heavy cavalry between the Bourbon Restoration and the 2nd Empire.
