Elmetto Greco M34/39 WW2

Elmetto dell’esercito Greco risalente alla Seconda guerra mondiale. Questi particolari elmetti ebbero una molto storia particolare: progettati nel 1934 in Italia, vennero rifiutati dall’Regio Esercito e successivamente venduti alla Grecia, che li adottò nel 1939 applicando nuovi interni e soggoli. Perciò tali elmetti sono generalmente definiti “modello 34 Greco” o piuttosto “M34/39”. Elmo completo di interno, su una delle lingue c’è il marchio dell’esercito reale greco (ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΟΣ ΣΤΡΑΤΟΣ) e il numero di taglia “57”. Uno dei due anelli per il fissaggio del soggolo è mancante, ma le condizioni generali sono buone considerando quanto è raro questo modello di elmo.

Greek army helmet dating back to the Second World War. These particular helmets had a very particular history: designed in 1934 in Italy, they were rejected by the Royal Italian Army and subsequently sold to Greece, which adopted them in 1939 by applying new liners and chinstraps. Therefore such helmets are generally referred to as “Model 34 Greco” or rather “M34/39”. Helmet complete with liner, on one of the tongues there is the mark of the Royal Greek Army (ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΟΣ ΣΤΡΑΤΟΣ) and the size number “57”. One of the two rings for attaching the chinstrap is missing, but the overall condition is good considering how rare this helmet model is.
